Here’s an easy and pretty-darn-healthy topping for you. It’s not attractive, but . . .
I used it to top some peanut butter oatmeal, but you could use it as “hot fudge” in Banana Split Oatmeal, or heck, just use it on a regular banana split! 🙂
Choco-Banana Sauce
What you'll need:
- 1/3 banana, mashed thoroughly
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
How to make it:
- Combine all ingredients. You could either blend them up if you have a mini blender or food processor, or just mash them with a fork as I did. Obviously, blending it will give it a better consistency (just look at the photos as proof of the terrible consistency I achieved with my fork!).
- Heat on the stove in a small saucepan on low, OR zap it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Either way, you may need to add drops of water to keep it thin enough.
